Safety & welfare
Every fighter passes medical screening and 6–8 weeks of coached training before they step through the ropes. Bouts are refereed, paramedics are ringside all night, and the crowd has SIA-licensed security, a welfare team and a quiet space on hand.

Student fight night tickets: common questions
Fight Night tickets have started at £25, with a limited early-bird tier before the price steps up. Exact prices are confirmed per event and go to the waitlist first. All tickets are digital, delivered straight to your email — no printouts, just show the QR code on your phone at the door.
Ten to twelve live white-collar boxing bouts between university students who've trained for eight weeks. Full walk-outs, a professional ring, DJ sets, LED walls, a packed bar, and an afterparty that's included in your ticket. It's part fight card, part night out — and the atmosphere is unlike anything else in Hull.
No. Most of the crowd are from the University of Hull or Hull York Medical School, but anyone aged 18+ is welcome. Bring valid photo ID — passport, driving licence, or PASS card. No ID, no entry, no exceptions.
Completely. Every fighter goes through medical screening and eight weeks of coached training before they step in the ring. Bouts are refereed, ringside paramedics are there all night, and RAVOK carries £10M public liability insurance. For the crowd, there's SIA-licensed security, a welfare team, and a quiet space if you need a breather.
Yes, and it's included in your ticket — no extra cost. After the last bout, the ring comes down, the DJ keeps going, and the venue turns into the afterparty. It runs late. Most people say the afterparty alone is worth the ticket price.
York Student Fight Night is in November 2026 and Hull Student Fight Night returns in February 2027. Both venues are still being confirmed. Venue, exact date and ticket prices are announced here and to the waitlist first, so joining the waitlist is the earliest you will hear.
