2) What data we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address.
  • Account: login credentials (passwords are hashed), preferences, saved details.
  • Transaction: orders, refunds, ticket details, discount/referral codes.
  • Payment: processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We don’t store full card details.
  • Technical: IP address, device/browser information, and logs for security/performance.
  • Marketing & communications: your opt-ins/opt-outs and message interactions.
  • Participant data (if applicable): verification and safety information processed with explicit consent.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

3) How we collect data

  • Directly from you: when you browse, create an account, buy tickets, or contact support.
  • Automatically: via cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (e.g., login/session, basket) and—with consent—analytics/ads.
  • From third parties: payment processors, email/SMS providers, analytics/fraud prevention tools, and event partners where necessary.

4) Why we use your data (lawful bases)

  • Provide our services: sell/deliver tickets, manage accounts, handle refunds/support — contract.
  • Take payments & prevent fraud:contract and legitimate interests.
  • Operate, secure & improve the site: diagnostics, performance — legitimate interests.
  • Service communications: order confirmations, event updates — contract/legal obligation.
  • Marketing: news, offers — consent (or legitimate interests where appropriate; you can opt out anytime).
  • Safety & compliance (participants): any special-category data only with explicit consent and where required by law/insurance.

5) Payments

Card payments are processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). They receive only the information needed to process your transaction and prevent fraud. We do not store full card details on our servers.

6) Cookies & similar technologies

We use essential cookies for core functions (login, basket, checkout). With your consent we may use analytics and advertising cookies. You can manage choices in your browser and via our cookie controls. See our separate Cookie Notice for details.

7) Sharing your data

  • Service providers: payments, hosting/IT, email/SMS delivery, analytics, customer support.
  • Event operations: venues, security, medical staff and regulators where necessary for safe, lawful events.
  • Professional advisers & insurers and law enforcement/regulators where required.

We do not sell your personal data.

8) International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we use recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO.

9) Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and staff training. We minimise the data we store and regularly review our safeguards.

10) Data retention

  • Ticketing/transaction records: typically 6 years (tax/accounting).
  • Account data: for the life of your account and up to 24 months after inactivity, unless needed longer for legal reasons.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or after a period of inactivity.
  • Participant safety/medical forms: only as long as necessary for health & safety/insurance (usually up to 5 years post-event).

11) Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

12) Marketing choices

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Service emails (such as order confirmations or event changes) will still be sent.

13) Accounts, referrals & fraud prevention

If you create an account, we process your details to maintain your profile and ticket history. If you use referral or discount codes, we process minimal data to track redemptions and prevent abuse. We also use anti-fraud tools to protect our users and platform.
